I’m seeing this regularly
A plate of jalebi and samosa combo + green chutney passed off as a harmless snack
But a burger, fresh fires, or pasta is harmful
The truth is, Indian food is as harmful as western
Its just that they are Crispy, sweet, spicy—and silently harmful.
Even if you eat it “once in a while,” here’s what you’re really taking in:
→ Reused oil loaded with trans fats—linked to heart blockages and high cholesterol
→ Refined sugar that spikes blood sugar and stresses your pancreas
→ Maida (refined flour) that slows down digestion and causes bloating
→ Heavy, greasy mix that triggers acidity, gas, and eventually, inflammation
And over time, that “treat” adds up to real problems:
- Acid reflux and chronic constipation
- Fatty liver and insulin resistance
- Rising cholesterol, blood pressure, and heart risks
- Weight gain and hormonal imbalance
n Ayurveda, food like this weakens digestion (Agni) and creates toxin buildup (Ama), disturbing balance in the body.
We often say “it’s okay sometimes.”
But health doesn’t work like that. The effects are slow, but sure.
Let’s stop normalising combos that taste good but damage silently.
So next time you pick up a samosa keep this in your mind.
